How many Microneedling treatments are needed?

After one session most clients notice visible results , improvements in tone and texture as collagen continues to rebuild long term. For the most dramatic results we recommend a series of 3-6 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart.

What to expect?

After a thorough skin analysis and deep cleanse. Before your treatment, your skin is numbed with topical anesthetic cream, so your treatment can be performed with minimal discomfort. A professional medical grade Microneedling device created controlled micro channels over the treatment area creating micro “injuries” in the skin. Next, a Booster serum can be applied to the skin and effectively absorbed, increasing the results of your treatment. Patients experience very little, mild redness with 24-48 hour downtime.

Who is NOT a good candidate?

Contraindications include:

•  Open wounds, cuts or abrasions on the skin
•  Have had radiation treatment to the skin within the last year
•  Have any kind of current skin infection, condition, herpes simplex in the area to be treated
•  Are pregnant or breastfeeding
•  Have any history of keloid or hypertrophic scars or poor wound healing
•  History of Eczema, Psoriasis and other chronic conditions
•  Raised warts, moles or lesions in target areas
•  Uncontrolled Diabetes (controlled with Doctors consent)
•  Must be off blood thinners for 5 days pre microneedling
• Medications or drugs prescribed by Doctor must be cleared prior to session

Absolute Contraindications include:

• Scleroderma
• Blood clotting problems
• Active bacterial or fungal infection
• Collagen vascular diseases or cardiac abnormalities
•  Immune suppression diseases
•  Scars less than 6 months old
•  Facial fillers in the past 14 days
•  Warts
•  Accutane
•  Eczema
•  Photosensitivity
•  Severe allergies
•  Liver disease
•  Hepatitis

Microneedling Pre -treatment Instructions: 

• Use gentle cleanser
• Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning bed at least 4 weeks prior and during treatment process
• No exercise the day of or 48 hours after treatment
• Avoid caffeine the day of treatment
• Avoid Advil, other nsaids, cold remedies, vitamin E, and aspirin 5 days prior to treatment
• Avoid Retin-A, chemical peels, fillers or Botox 2 weeks prior to treatment
• Discontinue Hydroquinone, AHA's, BHA's, Benzoyl peroxide, and other irritants 3-5 days prior to treatment
• Use SPF 30+ with UVA/UVB broad spectrum protection
• Notify La Bella Vita if you get cold sores. You will require an antiviral prescription to avoid a breakout after treatments
• If you have cuts, wounds, abrasions , active acne or a cold sore breakout we cannot perform the procedure
